There was a time when opulence dripped from every chandelier and whispers of scandal floated as freely as champagne bubbles. Gilded Age captures that heady world, where fortunes were forged in smoke-filled parlors and secrets were sealed with the shake of gloved hands.
It opens with a daring sparkle of Aldehydes, bright and effervescent - the scent of crystal flutes raised in toast beneath gaslight. This leads into a hypnotic heart of Ceylon Sweetwood and clean leather with astringent Black Tea, Smoked Birch, and Juniper Berry - a private club after midnight, where cigar smoke curls in the lamplight and laughter hides behind heavy velvet drapes.
Finally, it settles into a velvety base of Golden Amber, Incense, and Musk, leaving behind the ghost of luxury - dry, faintly powdery, and softly smoldering, like the perfume that clings to a vintage fur collar long after the party’s end.
Decadent. Daring. Utterly unforgettable. I'd classify Gilded Age as unisex.... and definitely one of my all-time favorite creations.
