Calabaza en el Fuego is an autumn seasonal release perfume available in limited quantities between September 1st and November 30th each year.
Calabaza en el Fuego... Pumpkin in The Fire! Long before there was pumpkin pie with a pastry shell, people still found a way to turn the humble pumpkin into a sweet and savory autumn treat. They'd cut the top off, scoop the seeds out, and fill the cavity with cream, honey, eggs, and spices. They would then place the top back on and carefully bury it in the hot ashes of a cooking fire. When the pumpkin finished cooking, they lifted the blackened squash from the hearth and scooped out the contents, along with the cooked flesh of the pumpkin, creating a custard-like treat. Mmmmmmmm!
This is a rich, elegantly sweet, gourmand scent... comprised of roasted pumpkin flesh with a delicate, and I do mean delicate, dusting of ginger and nutmeg, crunchy caramelized cinnamon pecans, and a cup of dark roast coffee for good measure. Rounded out with just a hint of amber and vanilla, it smells good enough to eat!
